My interest in metaphysics began during the 1970s, when I began to ask the big question 'Why are we here and how did we get here?'
Over the next 30 years I researched psychical studies, cosmology, physics and quantum physics. I believed that there was more to life than I had been taught, and was keen to understand how the world worked and why we humans were here living in it. I was also distressed to see the unhappiness and cruelty in the world and I was keen to find out if there was, in fact, any meaning to life. Were we just an accident; here by chance? Or had we been created by a God? Or aliens? Or any of the other theories that humans were putting forward to explain human existence.
As my interest in the various theories and possibilities grew, I also brought up a family and followed a diverse career path. In between two marriages, three children, three step children, and about 23 house moves, I worked as a Samaritan for a number of years and then trained as a counsellor with Relate. I began to understand that the laws were easy in theory, but a lot harder in practice - especially for people who were already leading difficult or stressed lives. It was much harder to work up from the bottom of the pile! It took me several years to realise that this was the final part of the jigsaw: I had put myself through a difficult time to give me a chance to 'prove' once and for all that the Universal laws work. I had spent my life looking for proof - and here it was. My life was proof of the law of attraction - in action. For more details on the Magical Key course, see the 'Courses' page.
I supplemented the Relate training by studying for a Diploma in Psychological Counselling, qualifying in 1994. I also studied for a Certificate in Health and Social Welfare with the Open University.
I ran a successful counselling and coaching practice for a few years, and was increasingly aware that my metaphysical studies were playing a large part in my counselling. There were many exciting and 'unexpected' developments for me - my life took many twists and turns - and yet each twist led to yet another fascinating discovery and added to my understanding of this amazing Universe.
I was becoming increasingly enthusiastic (some might say a teeny bit obsessive...) about sharing the knowledge that I was gaining about the Universe, so I decided to train as a College lecturer in order that I could begin to teach what I was learning.
After a three year teacher training course, I qualified as a teacher and lecturer through
I took a post in a Devon College teaching various subjects - including metaphysics - to adults and returners. But by now I knew what I wanted to do. My work and research had revealed to me the wonderful truth about this Universe in which we live - and I wanted to share that knowledge with as many people as possible.
And yet - in spite of all that I'd learned and understood about the workings of Universal laws, I wasn't really putting any of it into practice! I was stressed and unhappy at times, and aware that I wasn't being the 'real me'.
I continued to believe absolutely in the laws of the Universe, and ultimately decided to take a sabbatical to give me much more time for study and research. The more I read, the more I KNEW that the laws of the Universe worked - but continued to not properly apply them to myself.
I decided to develop the Magical Key course so that I could help others who wanted to make their lives better, by showing them how they could work with the law of attraction - and change their lives completely.
I felt that the best way to reach as many people as possible was to offer the course as a distance learning package, as well as offering it 'in-house'. As a result, the Magical key course is available by post, with full tutor support for the duration of the course.
My studies continue: I have recently completed a Certificate in Flower Essences, and I am currently studying for a Diploma in Vibrational Medicine.
